This monitor is crap. Research it before you buy it. I also purchased mine at Sam’s Club. just after 1 year, it developed a few bright vertical lines down the side of the monitor. After a few more months, the lines represent about 1/5th of the right side of the monitor. Sam’s offers so resolution. It’s over a year.
Samsung as a whole, is for crap these days. I also had a Blu Ray DVD player that crapped out 6 months after buying it. It took Best Buy 3 months to get it repaired and I still have yet to pick it up to see if it works or not.
Never again will I purchase something with the name Samsung on it.

I bought this 2433BW LCD and overall am quite happy with it. Bright vibrant colors, huge resolution 1920×1200 i.e. 16:10, and not the smaller, now more frequently available 1920×1080. Seems like most manufacturers have gone on to the 16:9 format which I think perhaps is the movie screen format.
I use my LCD for PC work. I already have 3 Samsung LCDs (2 of them are the Samsung 226BW – 1680×1080) hooked up with one viewsonic. I am not a gamer so some characteristics of LCDs like high response rate is not terribly important. Screen resolution and some color accuracy are.
My 2433BW broke down after like 10 months. Some smell of burnt plastic from behind. But called warranty svc dept, phone service was good and polite and smooth. Gave me a paid return shipping label. Unit came back in ONE WEEK after I dropped it at UPS store. Could not believe it.
Although the breakdown has caused me a bit of nervousness about this model, I am thinking of buying another unit … now priced around $289 … because they do not seem to make the 1920×1200 anymore. The warranty is 3 years … which seems they have confidence or want to stand well behind their product.
LCDs are not probably going to make a jump to bigger than 1920x___ anytime soon, perhaps … because the graphics cards cannot handle it unless they are crosslinked (2 cards). Few people will have or want that just to get beyond 1920x__ . My two cents … on this. Thanks for reading.

I bought this monitor for a work and it works fine for that purpose. I have no real complaints other then the lack of angle adjustment form the base.

The Samsung 2433BW monitor seems to be perfect. It has the correct aspect ratio for a monitor– 16 to 10– so that I can make full use of its 24 inch screen, no black bars at each end. I had previously returned a monitor that had the aspect ratio for TV– 16 to 9– and had to use it as a 22 inch monitor, black bars at the ends and the screen only 12 inches high instead of the correct 13 inches. The great majority of 24 inch monitors have the TV aspect ratio making them suitable for watching HD TV but not for use as monitors. This monitor also has good definition and beautiful color
